THE TRUTH BEHIND BIOLA IGE AND MUNA OBIEKWE’S NUDE PICTURE SCANDAL

 Yoruba actress Biola Ige has been enmeshed in a scandal over the past month, and it is gradually engulfing her.
A photo was recently released, where she was pictured semi-nude with fellow actor, Muna Obiekwe, who was sucking her breast.

The media became rife with speculation about the origin of the picture, until Biola herself would reveal via an interview with Vanguard that it was from a movie she did two years ago titled, ‘Pregnant Hawkers’.

She further said in the interview that she is neither shy nor afraid to take on nude or sex scenes in movies, saying she doesn't care whatever heat or controversy the picture might generate.
‘Of course, I can (act sex scenes). It’s my job. Of course, this is an art, I am an actress. What I want people to understand   is that acting is about impersonating somebody else’s character. In order to play that character you have to bear in mind that you are no longer yourself, and you have to do the extraordinary in order to be able to bring the character to life.’

But she was wrong, she would feel the heat once the picture went viral, becoming the hottest topic on the internet last month, and responded by subsequently releasing a statement.
‘I was going to remain silent on the photo being displayed on the internet however I realise that I need to set the record straight for my family, friends and fans who I love and respect.
The photo in question was taking from the set of a movie called “Pregnant Hawkers” in which i played a Hawker who was in a romantic situation with a man (The actor in the photo). This movie was shot and aired two years ago. The photo circulating the internet right now is the photo from a scene in the movie and nothing more.’

Meanwhile, Muna Obiekwe, in a recent interview with Tribune, said he was aware of the picture making the rounds but he doesn’t remember sucking Biola’s breasts, going further to say that he can’t remember featuring in the movie and that the scene never happened.

 He said, ‘I do a lot of movies and I can’t remember what happens in all of them. The fact that I don’t recall means that the movie was shot a long time ago. Probably three or more years back, when love scene was in vogue with producers.’

In another twist to the tale, upcoming Actress, Ruth Eze, released a statement saying Biola has been going around accusing her of being responsible for leaking the picture.
She reportedly blamed Ruth, who sources say was once her close friend, for being the arrowhead behind the damaging mess.
According to Ruth, ‘my attention has been drawn to attempts by Biola ige to drag me into the semi nude picture that has been on the internet for the last one week. I, Ruth Eze, have and will never be involved in such acts and I advise Biola Ige not to drag my name into this mess.’
Upon watching the movie available online, it can be easily observed that the sex scene is not featured in any part of the flick.

Although, Biola Ige played the character ‘Nikita’ and was during the course of the movie, impregnated by Muna Obiekwe's charatcer, so there remains a possibility that a sex scene was shot.
As to whether the picture was from a scene that didn't make the final cut of the movie or maybe it was simply a photo-shopped picture remains the big mystery.

If it is the former, it would explain the audacity behind Biola's response that people should go and watch the movie before judging her, but if the latter is the case, it is one hell of a well done photo-shop picture.
