Wazobia FM, Port Harcourt presenter, Anthony Akatakpo, popularly known as Akas Baba, was recently released by kidnappers after being abducted from his wife two weeks ago.
While sharing his ordeal in an interview with Punch, Akas Baba said the kidnappers apologized for shooting him in the leg, and also begged for his forgiveness.
‘They apologised for shooting
me in the leg. They begged me to forgive them from the depth of my heart and
asked me to tell my wife to also forgive them for what they did to us. They
confessed that what they did was uncalled for. I have forgiven them.’
He also disclosed that his abductors blamed the government for their
involvement in Kidnapping, saying, if government had created job opportunities,
they would not have been involved in crime.
