Movie
director/producer, Tchidi Chikere has been at war with his ex-wife, Sophia
Chikere, for the past 24 hours, as both parties have spoken out, revealing
private details of their 10-years union.
Tchidi threw
the first punch by going on micro-blogging platform, Twitter, to vent his rage
on Sophia, saying she is the most terrible wife ever in life.
He said she is
a freak, who only wanted his name and still live waywardly as she desired. He claimed she
never showed him any affection and that she and her family used Juju (charms)
on him. He also accused her of being a serial cheater, as she had several
boyfriends while they were married. He also accused her of abandoning their
kids and travelling overseas for romantic escapades.
Meanwhile,
Sophia responded hours later, releasing a statement of her own, saying her
ex-husband was raising false accusations to get the support of the court of
public opinion.
She said she
had to endure so many things from their union, especially his long absence
while filming and the series of infidelity rumours she heard over the years.
She also claimed that she attempted once attempted committing suicide the first
time he tried to leave her. She denied neither ever cheating on him nor using
Juju to gain his love. She would also plead with him to stop spreading tales
for the sake of their children.
The pair,
Sophia and Tchidi, who were married for 10 years have three kids together. Tchidi got married to actress, Nuella Njubigbo last weekend in Anambra state.
Obviously, the
dust is yet to settle on this matter.
